I wish I could share the intoxicating fragrance from these blossoms with you, but instead, I am publishing this photo for you to see. Isn't it beautiful?
You may have actually seen a photo or two of this tree before. I've published pictures of it several times here on this blog. For example, it appeared in these two posts:
Spring is here in Montana, and the landscape is becoming really green. I'm actually thinking it might be safe to take the snow tires off the cars next week! (You can read about why I always wait until May to switch our tires out in a post I wrote about winter driving and my car sliding off the driveway by clicking here.
I hope you are having a wonderful day - and I am sorry I can't share the delightful scent that is wafting through my open windows with you today.
What is your favorite thing about Spring?
Beautiful tree! Do you tuck some branches in vases around your home?
ReplyDeleteI did Lori - they smelled so good, I kept them for a while even after they began to drop their petals!
DeleteVery, very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I don't have as many flowering plants as you, but this is one of my favorites.
DeleteBeautiful tree, so many blossoms! I remember the fragrance from whan I had a cherry tree. In its first season it gave me a full kilo of cherries, second year, not so many :(
ReplyDeleteI wonder why your tree produced less fruit the second year? The Canada Red Cherry tree is not a typical cherry tree. It does not produce any edible fruit, except little berries for the birds.
DeleteI have always been obsessed with trees, and I must say your Cherry tree is beautiful, Susan! I have never seen one before so I thanks for sharing this picture. My favorite thing about Spring? Definitely not the bad TN allergens and tornadoes. I would have to go for the colorful flowers I see around our neighborhood. :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree. Having lived in the midwest for a while, I must say I don't miss worrying about tornados.
DeleteWhat a beautiful tree - it would be a lovely backdrop for outfit photos :)!
ReplyDeleteThere won't be too many of those taken here though, Lana ;)
DeleteWhat a gorgeous tree Susan! I bet it smells amazing right now. We get spring a lot earlier than you all do. We already have our garden planted and everything.
ReplyDeleteNo thoughts of planting here quite yet, Rena. We had a little snow this week.
