"An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind."

- Mahatma Gandhi.

Wouldn't our world be a better place if we all used words, not weapons?

  1. Boy...isn't that the truth? It's pretty ugly out there. I think I will just stay indoors! When did the world become such a scary place? The more we try to straighten everyone out,the worse it gets. Perhaps we should just mind our own business??? Guess the whole world needs to band together to end the violence.

    1. The world is a scary place - but there is a lot of good in it, also. Imagine what we could accomplish if we all could just get along.

  2. No arguments. The sooner we stop the 'us and them' caper and realise that we are all in this together the better.
Vengeance/revenge doesn't sit comfortably with me.

    1. Well said. And vengeance/revenge doesn't sit comfortably with me, either!

  3. Even words can be a problem now, with too many too quick to be offended at what someone, anyone, has said.
    It's just crazy out there!

    1. You are right, River. Even well-intentioned words can be misinterpreted. But then I think more listening and more words are needed - not weapons.

    1. Ghandi set an example - it would be nice if we would all follow it.

    1. I remember my mother worrying about that very thing for me and my sisters ... but the state of the world does seem like it has gotten even more precarious.

  8. yes I believe so - I also believe that if moms took over and start putting everyone in time out and taking away privileges it would get better too.
