We have just experienced two amazing days of soccer. Both our high school teams (boys and girls) won their first two games in the State Championship Soccer Games. Teammates and families have draw even closer together than we have been all season.
It has been fun, and we all are going into the final Championship games today with high aspirations and hopeful feelings.
Sometimes I hate sports, because someone always has to lose. But, win or lose, nothing can take away the good that happens along the way.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend - and that our teams do too!
Oh I have all my fingers and toes crossed hoping for a better outcome than last year! Can't wait to find out the results!
ReplyDeleteThe final game could have gone either way, with a score of 1:0. Our boys gave it a heck of a fight, but we ended with the second place trophy. Not what we hoped for, but still pretty darn good to be #2 in the whole state! Very proud of them!
DeleteHope your final game went well! We had a disappointing sports day here on Saturday, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. I agree though, it's the best feeling when your kids are so happy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Saturday we both had some disappointment, but it can't take away from the fact that we have pretty terrific kids!
DeleteGood luck.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope everyone (players and spectators alike) had fun.
It really was fun! Thanks!
DeleteSo hoping things went well!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane. It did go well - not quite as well as we had hoped, but our team can be very proud of their effort!
