I am very partial to honesty which grows like a weed - and you are right about the architectural beauty of thistles. And their regal colour is a delight too. I am also very fond of dandelion clocks...
I loved to blow the dandelion "puffs" as a child - but sadly, I now see them as work - since I know it will mean more future dandelions. Pretty as they are, we try to keep them under control.
Those are so beautiful! I had no idea that they changed colors like that. We don't have those here (at least I've never seen them). I love day lillies and back home they were beautiful. Here they are considered a weed!

ReplyDeletePeople don't like them because they are so invasive - but there is nothing sweeter than being handed one by a toddler who has picked it!
