1.) I Made Some Changes to this Blog
As I begin my second year of blogging, today I'm publishing my 300th post on this blog! You may notice some changes to the banner, fonts, and layout of this website. I gave the most - - of every moment a bit of a face lift over the weekend - and there will be more changes coming! I'd love to know what you think so far!2.) My Work was Published on Another Blog
Last Tuesday I wrote about my heavenly weekend in California. I mentioned that I would soon have another article about it published on the blog Heather on Her Travels. It was posted Saturday!I am so honored for my work to be published on Heather's wonderful and well-read travel blog. I hope you will take a minute and click here to read A weekend getaway at Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. It is quite different from the article I posted on this blog last week, with photos of my friend and I enjoying the activities nearby!
3.) A Warm Afternoon was Perfect for a Hike
The weather over the weekend tried to fool us into thinking it is Springtime in Montana. It clouded up a bit on Sunday and got windy - but it was still a perfect afternoon for a hike.
My weekend was fun and quite productive.

Note: In the spirit of full disclosure, I did receive some complementary services from the Hotel del Coronado. All opinions expressed, however, are entirely my own.
Congratulations Susan! I am so happy for you and will check it out as soon as I get finished here! I still can't make up my mind about MMB I've let it flounder lately, but I would love to figure out a way to incorporate in into TDAC and maybe just do one post a month. I don't have time to maintain it but hate to give it up altogether there are a lot of great places on there. IDK I need help! I meant to tell you last night but if you saw the comments you see I messed up and printed out my comment twice, but I was trying to go back because I spotted the new header after I was finished. I love it! It looks amazing! Did you do that by yourself? I really need you to teach me some things about how you do your own graphics like that. I've been playing around with Canva a little bit but I'm not very good at it and I suck even worse at taking pictures! I love the new look very nice! great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rena. I hope you can incorporate MMB into TDAC. It is a wonderful blog - but I can't imagine managing two! Glad you like the new header. I did do it myself! I began using Ribbet when I first started blogging as my photo editor, and I find it quite easy to use. Check it out and let me know if you have questions.
DeleteIt's looking very professionla indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad!
DeleteCongratulations - on the 300th post and the t guest post - I will definitely check it out later after work- the blog looks great and Montana looks beautiful too . :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Marisa. I do love Montana - as I think it is probably evident from my blog. It's not always perfect though - as my post today suggests!
DeleteCongratulations. It is looking very slick indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I had a lot of fun figuring out how to make these changes!
DeleteYou new header looks great! I really need to make some changes to my blog graphics, but I have no idea where to start. I headed over to Heather's blog to read your guest post. It's so well done and you did a fantastic job reviewing San Diego and the Hotel Del Coronado. It makes me want to go back! Your hike looks like fun - it rained so hard here this weekend we couldn't even go outside!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lana. Kim Six offers services to bloggers who use Blogger. I am going to use her help to do some of the "backdoor" stuff that I am too nervous to do myself!
DeleteHi Susan - I love your new/fresh graphics and the pictures on this post are awesome. I keep wanting to change my blog look but I think once a year is probably about right - so when I get to 300 posts (if that day ever comes) I'll take a leaf out of your book and do a revamp!
ReplyDeleteI think your blog looks wonderful now! And quality counts more than quantity - and all your posts are terrific!
DeleteI really like the new layout. I enjoyed your writing on Heather's blog, too. What a wonderful place to visit. I must get my daughter, who is a free lance writer, to read some of your writing.
ReplyDeleteI am also trying out the corned beef recipe that you provided the link for in one of your previous blogs. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I would love it if you would share with me some links to your daughter's writing! Hope the corned beef turns out well!
DeleteOh...I forgot. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteAll the luck 'o the Irish to you too, Lynn!
DeleteFaith and Begorrah! Your redo is fabulous. I really like it. The graphics and photos are so clean and crisp and I am beyond impressed that you did it yourself. Look at you! I also loved your post on Heather's site. Thanks for introducing her to us. She looks like yet another gem to follow.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like my blog changes Kelly - being able to make some of the changes was a surprise, even to myself. I do plan to work some with Kim Six: Blogger Designer and Troubleshooter to fix some of the stuff that intimidates me too much to do myself. Hopefully that will make things even better. I love Heather's blog, and she writes a lot of good blog information in addition to travel articles as well.
