This photo was taken during a hike in Arizona - with a view of the road - way, way down below! |
The Arizona Desert has some of my favorite types of topography and vegetation in the United States. |
The quote by Doug Larson* (on the top photo of this post) struck me as a good reminder that people should use extra caution while traveling this weekend. Traffic increases during holiday weekends, and drivers may be driving unfamiliar routes or be distracted.
Have a fun weekend - and be safe!
*Doug Larson was a columnist and editor in Wisconsin.
Have you ever been to the desert?
What are your plans for this weekend?

Beautiful Arizona pictures! As you know, I've been there often since my parents moved there. Love the quote about Labor Day weekend! Hope you have a great one too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the so pertinent reminder, Susan! We'll be back Sunday night! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a wonderful time! Thanks for the excellent and entertaining fiction read posted on your blog while you were away!
DeleteAmazing photos. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWe try very hard NOT to travel on holiday weekends. Too many people, too many distractions.
I hope your weekend is wonderful. And, of course, safe.
We like to stick close to home on busy travel weekends too. Cool and rainy here this weekend, but we are having a relaxing weekend - thanks!
DeleteGood reminder. We usually stay off the roads on long weekends.
ReplyDeleteWith so many of us choosing to stay home, one would wonder then why there is so much traffic! :)
DeleteSticking close to home this weekend with a canoe trip tomorrow. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteA canoe trip sounds fun! Last year we canoed and tubed on the river over Labor Day weekend - this weekend feels much too cool to even think about submerging in the river!
DeleteYou can never be too careful
ReplyDeleteVery true
